Girls Hockey

26 January 2021
Mr Mario DeSandoli, Coach
The girls' hockey program is going strong this year and has had its best enrollment ever with 17 players currently registered. A unique aspect of this group is the wide range of skills within the group - the 17 players include girls who are novice skaters and have never played hockey before, as well as girls who would compete for a spot on the school's top hockey squad in a typical year. To have success with such a mixed ability group, it is crucial to have a supportive and inclusive culture: the team has that in spades.

This group of girls is made up entirely of Grade 8-11s which means it could be expected to have most of this awesome group back next year. So if you're in Grade 8-11, consider joining for a second term next year to be a part of this awesome collective. All ability levels are welcome and the coaches can help get you loaner equipment if you don't have your own.

And a big thanks to Emily and Amy P, Mack ‘22 who have been the driving force behind building the team's positive culture, drumming up interest, and helping the program grow during the last few years.
