Members of Mr Skardal's English 11 class share their adventures in reading fiction. How do you read so much?
Sometimes when I'm having a rough day, I'll put aside some time to read and it really calms me down. Especially if I feel stressed about school and everything else, I read. It can be a really good way to escape reality.

What's the best book you've read this year?
A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. It's about a guy going through rehab. Reading this book is like walking through his journey with him and the struggles he went through.

What's the oddest book you've read this year?
I haven't come across a really weird book, but I'd say Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It's not really my style to read that kind of book.

What are you reading now?
I am reading Girl in Pieces by Kathleen Glasgow. It's about this girl, Charlotte, and she is 17 and has lost a lot of family. She is basically on a journey to deal with all of the deaths.

Is it hard to find books right now?
It is harder because we can't just walk into a library and borrow books, but you can still find books off of Amazon and that's how I got some new books to read. If you have a Kindle, it's easy to buy some. It's very cheap. It's like two dollars to download a book.
