From Mill Bay to Ghana

13 June 2015
Jasmin Thomas-Brown, one of our school nurses, went to northern Ghana over March Break to work on a prenatal ultrasound project in a rural part of the upper west region. Due to the nature of her travels, she was allotted extra bags of luggage which the Brentwood community generously help her fill with donated items.  The items were then given to the Hanukkah Children's Home, where Jasmin has worked on a previous service trip. It is one of the only homes in the country that accept developmentally delayed children, and they currently have more than 40 orphans. The owners of the home, Mariette and Moses, as well as all of the children, were overwhelmed at the generosity of the Brentwood family. Well done, Jasmin!
