The Brentwood International Rowing Regatta started up Friday afternoon and the plaza was buzzing with people around the much-anticipated Entrepreneurship 11 food booths that are selling all sorts of goodies to the hungry people on campus this weekend.

There are seven different food booths that include Mac & Cheese, All Day Breakfast, Tornado Potato, Homer’s Doughnuts, Waffles, and the Crepe Shack. What may just look like food booths run by students on the outside are months of hard work, dedication and many hours of commitment on the inside.

The students who run these food booths are part of our Entrepreneurship 11 classes, and their booths are their main project for the year. They have to create and run a business from scratch, and this includes many hours of work and thousands of dollars of investment in order to achieve the main goal: to learn how to run a business and, hopefully, make a profit.

These projects have many aspects including deciding on a product, creating a name and design, investing, and deciding on purchases of products, advertizing, painting and building the booths themselves and, of course, making all of that delicious food.

So go out to the Plaza and support our fellow Brentonians in their efforts to create an amazing business and gain some great experiences: and you get to enjoy some really delicious treats!
