Five National Titles for the Brentwood Rowing Programme

On Sunday, the Brentwood rowers had one of their most successful days at the Canadian High School Rowing Championships. Racing in nine finals, the Club picked up four gold, three silver, a bronze and a 5th place finish. Gold medals were awarded to the Junior 72 kg eight and coxed four, the Junior heavyweight eight and coxed four. Silver medals were awarded to the Junior Men's and Women's doubles and the Senior 72 kg pair. The bronze medal was awarded to the Senior Men's eight and the Junior girls coxed four placed fifth in their final. In the team competition, Brentwood was second overall out of 148 schools and the boys team brought home the total points national championship, 46 points ahead of the next school. This is the first time since 2003 that the school has won a team competition. The girls won  by one point in 2003. The last time the boys won the overall team competition was eight years ago in 2001.
