Monday, October 20, 2008 - By: alanna martin

On Saturday, the Brentwood team were entertained by hosts Shawnigan Lake School. The Brentwood side scored early with a goal by Connie Wylie and assisted by Brigid McCormack.  The girls demonstrated solid team work and their passing plays were impressive. A second goal by Rachelle Young secured the win for the team and goalkeeper Renata Morris, who was tested a few times by the Shawnigan side, earned the shutout. Brentwood is thus undefeated in league play and enters the Island Championships as the North Island league champions.  The Island Championships will take place in Victoria this Friday and Saturday with the top three teams from the tournament advancing to the Provincial Championships.
