Fast and Furious 7: Colts Rugby Action
This past Thursday, members of the Brentwood colts rugby programme and the senior Second XV embarked on a mission for victory at the annual SMUS 7s tournament in Victoria. The Junior Boys A side got off to a swinging start by defeating a strong SMUS team and narrowly losing to Oak Bay. In the final qualifying match, the boys played a very strong game against our long time rivals, SLS, losing the match at a close margin.
The Junior B team proved themselves strong competitors throughout the tournament, but eventually also succumbed to Shawnigan in a closely contested match at the close of the day.
The 7's tournament proved to be an excellent learning experience for all present and succeeded in reinforcing the fundamentals of rugby that have been stressed all year. Good work boys!
