Last weekend the SEC put on a great Fall Fun Fair. The fair ran from 4:00 to 7:00 on Saturday and included a plethora of activities including three different inflatable activities, delicious BBQ, and a Zorb Ball tournament. Several students enrolled teams to participate, however only two squads prevailed from the brackets. Both The Units and The Banana Splitters were awarded pizzas for their valiant efforts on the pitch.  A pie eating contest in which both teachers and students were encouraged to employ their sweet teeth, also occurred. There were also two other booths set up where students could either play water pong or donut on a string. Later that night, Murder on the Orient Express was shown to the students in the new Foote Athletic Centre. The afternoon and evening provided a great escape from the steadily rising academic pressure of the school year and was an awesome opportunity to get out and enjoy the great weather.  I was fortunate enough to speak with Alex C, Ellis’19, Head of the SEC on the event. He said, “It was a great event and I really hope everybody had a fantastic time. It took a lot of effort to get done but I think it was worth the time and hopefully it will continue as a tradition at the school. The food, games, and overall vibe were really positive and enjoyable.” On behalf of the students, we would like to extend a huge thank you to the RFAs, Mr. Barrett, the Grounds crew, the Special events crew, Chef David, the Food Services staff, Mr. Lee, the Housekeeping staff, Mr. Shadlock, Mrs. Martin, Mr. Langer, Mr. Shaw, Ms. Richardson, and Mr. Saltman who all pitched in to make sure this event was an enjoyable as possible. Of course a special shout out to Mrs. McLean and Alex for initiating the event. All of the students thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and we hope it stays a Brentwood tradition.  Haden U, Ellis ‘19
