On Saturday, September 28th, 2019, we hosted the exciting annual Fall Classic Tennis Tournament. It was a friendly contest against Shawnigan Lake School that included an all-you-can-eat BBQ and Grilled Cheese Fest for all the players and spectators cooked by the tennis team, and of course, Ms McLean our Head Coach.

The play was supposed to begin at 2 pm on Friday and continue on Saturday from 10 am to completion of the tournament. Unfortunately, due to an unpleasant weather situation of pouring BC rain, the tournament began at ten on Saturday and ran till about 7 pm the same day.

The format was doubles only. The teams could be same-sex or mixed, and it was a triple knockout with everyone guaranteed three matches. Also, this tournament broke up into three different divisions according to the player's ability. It was fun and an excellent experience for all levels of competitors. It was also a great chance to observe our Shawnigan's tennis team.

Our Brentwood Tennis team did a fantastic job as they secured the win in all three divisions. We also showed great sportsmanship toward the other team as they try their best on the court and we were respectful both on and off the court. "It was a great day for us as we got to enjoy good BBQ and have fun on the courts" said Pasha B, Rogers ‘20 while he was waiting for his next grueling match.

They could also warm up in the more casual game of spike ball, which is set up on the field behind the tennis courts. "Spike ball was the best part," said Juan N, Whittall ‘20.
