Eric Jackson wins Silver at the Canadian Junior National team Trials

On Tuesday morning, Eric Jackson and his partner Will Matthews of Vancouver won the silver medal in the Junior Pair at the Canadian Junior National team Trials in Welland Ontario. Racing in the middle lane, Jackson and Matthews narrowly lost (1:04 seconds), to a crew from the South Niagara Rowing Club. Adam Galbraith and Connor McGuigan raced in the 'B' final and finished first. Adelaide Backer finished sixth in the 'B' final for junior singles. The Canadian Junior 'A' team will be travelling to France this summer to compete in the Junior World Championships. The Canadian Junior 'B' team will be travelling to Oakridge, Tennessee to compete in the American Club National Championships. Both teams will be announced on Friday June 5th.
