It turns out that unicorns do have super powers: Mack/Ellis proved this today by winning the annual Eco-Challenge competition on a warm, sunny afternoon. In the process they crushed Privett/Hope’s dreams of winning the event for the third year in a row.  The day kicked off with Privett and Whittall having a literal game of capture the flag with the house banners.  The fields of Green, Red, and Orange cried in outrage while Privett’s paddle boarder crushed the competition with a significant lead. As the challenge pushed onward with double sea kayaking, canoeing, orienteering, rope rescue, shelter building, fire starting, portage, cross country, and single kayaking it was clear that Mack/Ellis was in the lead with Privett/Hope and Rogers/Allard neck to neck for second. When the last event swam to a finish, the wait was over. Mack/Ellis stole first with Rogers/Allard close behind in second. Privett/Hope finished third with Whittall/Alex bringing up the rear.  Great job to all those who participated, and a many thanks to the teachers, led by Mr. Norman, who supervised and judged the events. The games have begun! Caitlin C, Hope ‘17
