Earth Hour at Brentwood
Ellis, whose house colour is green, coincidentally held their Open House on the same night as Earth Hour, an international campaign which raises global awareness about conserving energy and fighting climate change.
For Saturday’s classes, each student, after donating $2 to our community school project in Zambia, were allowed to wear green to class (instead of our regular #1’s) to illustrate our support for the environment.
Though we may not have conserved the 200 megawatts of power that the city of Toronto did, our school definitely played its part in Mill Bay during this global event.
