Drawing and Painting Workshop Given by Lynda Faulks

Today, a group of our art students (including our Advanced Placement Studio Art candidates) participated in a workshop given by local artist, Lynda Faulks. Entitled "Drawing and Painting from the Figure," this session covered a variety of drawing techniques and different media using a model to capture the human form. Portrait painting was also demonstrated with the students being given the opportunity to work alongside Lynda. We are fortunate to have such a talented artist give this workshop at our school. An art educator and practising artist, Lynda has won numerous awards, including the CSEA National Award for Art Teacher of the Year for Canada (2008).
