Down, But Not Out

The First XV lost 30-17 in a hard fought game against Oak Bay Thursday afternoon. There was no lack of effort or willingness to play, but rather small mistakes that led to the boys’ downfall. After full time, the team was upset with their loss but excited to have a good starting point to work from.  Tries were scored by dangerous rookie –rower turned rugby player - Dane B, skilled veteran Keenan G, and the reliable Donovan M. The whole team knows what they need to work on and looks forward to the season ahead.  Next Saturday’s game against fierce rivals Shawinigan Lake School will be a true test of the skills learned from the Oak Bay contest.
