Dover Bay Volleyball Tournament 2011
This past weekend the Senior Girls volleyball team competed in their first tournament of the year at Dover Bay and came away with a 5th place finish. This tournament was comprised of some of the most talented high school girls’ teams in the province.
In round robin action the girls defeated Duncan Christian 25-10, 25-15 and Timberline 25-13, 20-25, 15-8 but lost to Cedar 25-22, 23-25, 13-15 and Lambrick Park 18-25, 20-25.
On Saturday the team played NDSS for 5th spot and were victorious with scores of 18-25, 25-21, 15-11. Despite many new faces on the squad, the girls were able to gel quickly and played some quality volleyball. The team will be hosting Belmont on Friday at 3:30 at the Woodward Sportsplex.
