The pace of Brentwood life has increased exponentially in the past few weeks, heightened further due to the SAC’s Fright Week. With events coming left and right, the SAC figured everyone needed to slow down and chow down to help students and staff relax.  The Diwali Dinner came at the perfect time. The traditional Hindu festival of lights was set for October 30, but celebrating a few days early wouldn’t hurt anyone. On October 27, several of Brentwood’s Indian students (as well as other willing volunteers) shared their culture with the rest of the school. The menu featured several Indian delicacies such as Dal Tikka, Rice Pilau, Tikka Masala Chicken, Aloo Gobi, Samosas, Naan, Raita, Pappadums, and Saffron Kulfi. To add to the authentic experience, popular Indian music played in the background, which made everyone want to bhangra (a famous Indian dance move).  Thanks to Ms. McLean and the SAC for hosting this dinner, Pria F, Hope ‘17 & Antara P, Mackenzie ‘18 for leading this event, and to the marvelous cooking staff who made the delicious meal.
