In the closest finish in living memory, Alex-Whittall captured first place at Eco-Challenge under sunny skies yesterday afternoon as Angel S paddled her single kayak into the rocky beach in front of Crooks Hall.

In a hotly contested event which featured paddleboarding, singles kayak, doubles kayak, canoeing, swimming, running, portaging, rock climbing, and shelter building, Angel glided across the line to the thunderous applause of 150 ecstatic Alex-Whittall housemates.

Many thanks to Mr Dan Norman and his team of volunteers who managed to stage this marquee events despite the fact that the center of campus is a building site the size of the Roman Colosseum.

Today is a pretty typical Saturday with #1 house inspections, three classes, and an afternoon of sports followed by the End of Summer Bash. Sunday brings a sleep-in, brunch and a restful afternoon befire we’re up to full speed on Monday.
