Debating Made Friendly

On Wednesday, March 25th, the Brentwood Debate program hosted a group of Shawnigan debaters in a friendly showing of camaraderie and skill, as well as a chance for the two neighboring programs to interact and learn from each other.   With topics touching upon voting rights and Internet access involved in education, the stage was set for some prime intellectual clashes. Strong performances were had by both sides with many new comers to the debate program such as Berit B, Ibrahim S & Tyler P showing talent in the senior category, as well as Afyz M and Eve VR proving particularly strong in the juniors. The event was a strong showing by all and a true testament to Brentwood’s ever-increasing and improving debate program.  Sean J, Ellis ‘14
