On Friday afternoon the school received notification that our three entries for the Head of the Charles had been accepted. The senior boys and girls eights and the senior boys four will be racing on the Charles River on Sunday 19th October in Boston, the first time that Brentwood has entered crews in this regatta. The Head of the Charles has become the largest head race in North America, and thus participation will be an incredible opportunity for the students. In the youth division, there will be crews from United States, Canada and England. There are 64 entries in the youth women's event, 65 in the youth men's eight and 71 in the youth four. The crews will be travelling on Wednesday 15th October and returning the night of the 19th. They will be staying at Buckingham Brown & Nichols School, which is a prestigious day school in downtown Boston. The crews will be borrowing boats and rowing out of the Northeastern University boathouse, which is located at the finish line of the racing course. The trip will also include a few tours of some of the top universities in Boston including Harvard and MIT.  BB&N website: http://www.bbns.org  Head of the Charles website: http://www.hocr.org
