Crews see improvement at Opening Day Regatta

The Senior Boys and Girls crews raced this past weekend at the prestigious Opening Day Regatta in Seattle. In front of close to 200,000 people watching, both crews raced well in the high school division on the 2000 m course. The boys placed second (by only two seconds) to St. George's School of Vancouver; a team that had beaten us by six seconds the week before. The girls finished fourth, narrowly missing the bronze position in the last 300 meters of the race. With the Shawnigan Lake Regatta set for this weekend and the national championships in three weeks, the Opening Day regatta was invaluable in assisting our preparation for these events.
