Car Wash for Life
This past Saturday, May 11th, Brentwood had an event with the purpose of raising money for the BC Relay for Life Association.
Mrs. Felix, Asha U and Lindsay B-E organized a car wash at the old Brentwood Firehouse. Not only did we raise money for a great cause, we also had fun doing it.
We were outside from 9:15 am to 2:30 pm. During this time people divided their work: some of us were polishing windows while others were washing rims, and some others were attracting people to come and have their cars washed.
At the end of the day we raised $561: a huge success! All this money goes to the Relay for Life Cancer Society. Pascale B and her team also raised $187 at Valley View selling hot dogs.
We had a lovely day with plenty of people willing to help. Special thanks to Asha U, Lindsay B-E and Jasper B-S for staying all day long, doing all the shifts. Also, special thanks to Mrs. Felix for making this possible.
The Relay for Life event is on Saturday June 1st in Duncan and we can´t wait.
