The term started with a rush of events in all areas of the school. Wimbledon College was here to play our boys’ rugby teams, the senior acting students fine tuned for their run on stage, the rowers returned for a camp in preparation for racing season and the majority of the school volunteered on Charity Work Day on April 7th. Did I mention the students went to classes too? The third term at Brentwood is our busiest. We have more competitive teams in their leagues than in the previous two terms (girls’ soccer, tennis, track and field, boys’ and girls’ rugby, rowing, cross country running, golf, outdoor pursuits and squash) in addition to our recreational sports choices. Artistically, we are no less engaged. It is music festival season. Our choirs, bands and orchestras are fully engaged in performances, and in some cases competing in provincial and national competitions. It is a similar story for our dancers, debaters and public speakers. The dancing troupe were on stage soon for their Evening of Dance, a highlight for their program. Socially, the School hosted a Senior Spring Formal, which was a wonderful evening, the Ellis Open House Casino, OMNI continues to meet weekly, the BEAT, SPARC and the SAC are hosting events throughout the term and International Dinners continue to be popular events in Crooks Hall.
