Brunch at Brentwood for Zambia
On Sunday, June 13th, the leadership team has organized a Brunch at the McNeill Student Centre in support of education development in Zambia. All proceeds will go towards funding for solar panels on the Brentwood sponsored school Munakandi Valley, in Zambia. The first seating is at 10:00 AM and the second seating is at 11:30AM. Tickets are $20 dollars and are available at Brentwood's reception office or by calling 250-743-5521. Tours will also be available after the brunch.
This is not the first project for Zambia that Brentwood has been involved in. In 2005, in collaboration with the Colin B. Glassco Foundation, we began fundraising to build a school in the Gwembe Valley (Zambia). Named The Zambia Project, a school-wide effort including staff and students was made. The resulting funds used to drill three wells and build a schoolhouse and a teacher's residence. Every dollar that we raised was matched by the Colin B. Glassco Foundation.
