In 2005, Brentwood College School began fundraising to build a school in the Gwembe Valley of Zambia in collaboration with the Colin B. Glassco Foundation. The money raised was used to build a schoolhouse, a teacher's residence, and three water wells. The wells have proven to be very useful for the school and its pupils. Mr. Glassco was pleased to share with us that each pupil now has their own garden with a bed of vegetables. The gardens have been marked with the name of the pupil responsible for taking care of each bed. We are very proud of the development at Munakandi Community Basic School and we look forward to more updates about the school's sustainability initiatives.
