20 January 2010

The Vancouver Model United Nations is the largest high school event of its kind in North America. This year, 350 delegates used their knowledge of history, international relations, diplomacy, foreign policy and UN procedures to debate and ultimately resolve two vexing problems: nuclear non-proliferation and piracy in Somalia. Ian M emerged as "Best Delegate" from an impressive field of brilliant young minds whose aspirations are to secure the top positions in federal and international government. Ian wants to become the Secretary-General of the UN; his performance over the course of this grueling three-day conference indicates that we can start calling him Kofi immediately.
