Brentwood Soccer One Step Closer to Islands

The senior soccer boys took the next step to qualify for the Island playoffs. The team travelled to Qualicum Beach on Friday and came away with a 2-0 win over North Island Senior Secondary (NISS) before losing the second game against Saltspring 3-1. Owen G scored the winning goal followed by an insurance marker by Eric S in the first half against NISS with the shutout earned by Dillon H & Riley M. The Saltspring game had Sang L finding the twine and junior team keeper Cam R being called up to mind the net when the senior goalies had to leave for a rowing regatta. Winning the NISS game allows the team to have one more game against Victoria side Lambrick Park on Monday, to be played at Shawnigan Lake at 2 pm. The winner earns a berth to the Islands at SMUS on November 12 & 13th.
