Brentwood Scorches Scorpions
The Senior Girls Soccer team travelled to Salt Spring Island on Thursday to play a perennially tough Gulf Islands SS Scorpions side. The hail, wind, and rain made for a tricky playing surface, but it was the Brentwood side that took advantage of the weather.
A long drive from Maddy A was difficult for their keeper and Katie C was first to the rebound to open the scoring.
BCS keeper Kendra S then made a world class save on a breakaway to preserve the narrow lead. Shortly after, Mairi H's long range effort skipped under the keeper to give us a 2-0 lead. The final goal was emphatically swept in by Tessa M on a well-taken corner by Maddy A. Brentwood 3, Salt Spring 0.
