Six Brentwood rugby players enjoyed success at the Western Canadian Rugby Championships in Kelowna over the August long weekend, playing two matches against the Prairie Wolf Pack (a combination rep team drawing players from Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan).  William PM and Harrison H suited up for the BC U16 boys team which defeated the Wolf Pack. Both boys factored in the wins, making a strong contributions to their team. Avi S, Ciel Arbour- Bohme, McKenna H and Delaney M also represented the BC U18 girls team, which also defeated a strong Prairie Wolf Pack team. All four players were key to securing the victory. Further east, Denise R was in Ottawa with the BC U16 girls team to play in a two game series against Ontario. Denise was the top try scorer for BC, easy winners against their eastern rivals. If rugby fans wish to see some of these athletes in action next weekend, Brooklyn Navarette, McKenna H, Avi S, Ciel Arbour-Bohme and Delaney M will represent BC’s U19 team in a two game series against the USA U19 National Team at Brentwood on Friday, August 21 at 4 pm and 10:30 am on Sunday, August 23. Brentwood coaches Steve Cowie and Marius Felix will be on the sidelines directing the action as Assistant and Head Coach.
