Brentwood Rowers Earn WCSG Gold

After an excellent spring season which saw them capture silver in the 8+ and 4+ at the CSSRA, Cam York ‘11 and Lance B ‘12 represented BC in the men’s 8+, 4x and 2x at the Western Canada Summer Games in Kamloops this August. In this multi-sport competition, Team BC faced the prairie provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. In the finals, British Columbia dominated the field, winning eleven of the twelve events. On the men’s side, with Cam stroking the 8+ and Lance sitting in 5 seat, the crew achieved their goal of finishing first in every event. The games wrapped up with a closing ceremony and some hefty hardware for Cam and Lance.
