Brentwood Idols Advance!

This past weekend, our two Brentwood Idols sang their way to the next round of the Victoria Idol competition.  On Friday night, Ryan Bernsten competed at the David Lam Theater at the University of Victoria against 12 quarter-finalists. Although he had a huge technical glitch, having sat on his CD on the journey and thus rendering it useless, he overcame all odds by placing a mike in front of the speaker of a borrowed laptop computer and singing as if this was perfectly normal. His performance was entertaining to say the least. On Saturday, Laura Hawkins performed at the Mary Winspeare Theater in Sidney.  Her flawless performance left the judges virtually speechless. Both Laura and Ryan advance to the semi-finals of the Victoria Idol competition on the 29th of November at the North Douglas Church in Victoria.  We wish them all the best as they continue to advance in this year’s competition.
