Brentwood Hosts Inaugural TEDX Event

9 October 2014
Ian McPherson
"Switch on: Transformation" Create, inspire, and open your mind. On October 17, the School will host the first TEDx BrentwoodCollegeSchool: “Switch on Transformation”. TEDx events are independently organized TED-like experiences aimed to spark connection and deep discussion within a small group. Talks will cover transformative events, experiences, reasoning, and our possible future.

We are beginning this annual tradition with a running start: you do not want to miss the phenomenal lineup of speakers. The audience will be hearing from individuals such as Maia Hoeberechts on underwater internet connectivity: allowing ocean research results to be available to everyone, alumni Daniel Riley, an athlete who learned to overcome the loss of both his legs in Afghanistan and Michelle MacLaren, director of award-winning television series Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.

The day is comprised of 4 sessions including 2 morning and 2 afternoon sessions of 11 speakers, 4 TED talk videos and various entertainment throughout the day.
