Brentwood Girls Capture Showcase
On January 14th, the Senior Girls Basketball team hosted their annual Showcase Game against Shawnigan Lake School. Finding their rhythm at both ends of the court, the girls came away with a 45-31 win in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. Madlen A and Spencer M led the senior team in scoring. The girls’ next competition is a league game vs. Timberline this Tuesday, 6:00 pm at the Woodward Sportplex.
Earlier that afternoon, the Junior Girls A team also posted a win against our long-time rivals, 47 to 41. Hannah W was top scorer for the game with 18 points, due in part to the impressive leadership from point guards Rayna A and Emily Y. The girls face Shawnigan again in the first round of the Winter Shootout this Friday at 11am at QMS in Duncan.
