BC Soccer Champions

Tuesday, June 26, 2018 -

Along with meeting their academic, athletic, and artistic commitments to the school, many Brentwood athletes manage to compete beyond the school gates. Brentwood athletes also excel in enduro cycling, equestrian, rugby, volleyball, basketball & soccer off campus.

Reece FR, Allard ‘20 & Jack NG, Ellis ‘21 both travel to Victoria three times a week to train and compete for the Vancouver Island Wave in the BC Soccer Premier League. After a fourteen game regular season and two playoff wins, these two completed in the Gold Medal match on the weekend.

On Saturday, Jack and the U15 boys defeated regular season winners Surrey United 2-1 to repeat as BCHPL Champions.

On Sunday, Reece and her U16 girls squad, who dominated the regular season with an 11-0-1 record, triumphed over Surrey by a score of 2-0.

Both Reece (volleyball, soccer, track & field) and Jack (soccer, basketball, rugby) will be back at Brentwood in the fall to pour their considerable energy and ability into Brentwood’s sports programs.
