Basketball: the Junior Boys win a thriller against Shawnigan!

The team accomplished a very difficult feat on Friday night at Shawnigan Lake School by defeating the same team three times in the same year. Despite a sloppy start and some hot shooting by an emotionally charged Shawnigan Lake squad, Brentwood pulled away in the fourth quarter to win 52-43. Brentwood trailed for the majority of the game and even trailed by as many as 13 points early in the third quarter. Shawnigan Lake had no answer, however, to Matt Lee, who scored 34 of Brentwood's 52 points and had his best game of the year at the most opportune time. Brentwood now plays Cowichan High School for the privilege of representing the mid-island schools in the Island Championships to be held at Cedar Secondary School next week.
