Basketball: Junior Boys victorious against Shawnigan Lake School

Brentwood's Junior Boys basketball team earned a hard fought victory against the Shawnigan Lake School on Saturday, with a final score of 45-34.  A slow start to the game saw our boys leading by two points after the first half of play, but with Ben Hindson fighting through a cold to assert himself on the boards and guards Sean Liu and Victor Anderson able to pressure the Shawnigan guards enough to make a one or two key turnovers, the boys were able to dominate the second half of play. High scorers were Ben Hindson with 17 points and Alex Park with 7. The boys are in action on Tuesday next (27th January) at 5:30 pm against Frances Kelsey School before heading to Courtenay for a tournament at Mark Isfeld Secondary School at the weekend.
