Although we had hoped to announce that the musical this year would be The Sound of Music, because of an international professional tour celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the film, Rogers and Hammerstein denied us the license for the show.

We are delighted, however, to announce that the Jazz Age will live on at the Bunch Centre in The Boy Friend, a light romantic spoof of the 1920’s musical comedy. The show is still considered the most successful and witty of the send-up musicals. Set against the backdrop of the 1920’s French Riviera, the show is filled to the brim with tongue-in-cheek moments. It has a catchy musical score, and full company dance numbers. With a fair number of featured roles, it also allows us to showcase many of our talented students.

The Brentwood Family night preview is Tuesday, Feb. 24 and the show runs for the public from Wednesday, Feb. 25 through Saturday, Feb. 28 with a 7:30 pm curtain. Tickets will go on sale for Brentwood parents in November.
