Arts November 2014

10 November 2014
Edna Widenmaier
The rains of November do not stop the creativity in our studios. In the performing arts, the two major performance companies’ shows, The Boy Friend and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, are now cast and well into rehearsals, while the music department prepares for the Remembrance Day service. The Arts Council made up of the Captains of the various programmes has begun its preparations for the first in-house School Art Gallery Opening slated for Nov. 27. All students will be invited to visit the Gallery Opening at designated times, chat with the student docents and artists from all of the visual arts programmes. The show will be open for parents to visit on Nov. 28 during the Parent-Teacher-Student conferences. Concurrently, both the music and dance departments are working towards Concert for a Winter’s Eve - our annual fund raiser for the local food bank, this year open to the public on December 5 at 7:30pm. Proceeds go to the Mill Bay Food Bank. Information on all our upcoming performances in the T. Gil Bunch Centre can be viewed on our new box office site: theatre@brentwood.bc.ca Mrs. Edna Widenmaier, Director of Arts
