Arts

Wednesday, June 03, 2015 - By: Edna Widenmaier

We are winding up our Arts programmes for the year and the Performing Arts students have a number of musical and dramatic offerings to put the icing on the cake of 2014-2015.

At 3pm on Friday, June 5, the seniors actors have a studio play in the Drama Centre entitled “The Day Billy Lived”. That evening, over 70 students will be on the Killy Theatre stage to perform in Concert for a Summer’s Eve, a melody of song and instrumental solos and ensembles from our award-winning musicians who have impressed adjudicators from the Victoria Festival for the Performing Arts to the Whistler Mountain Cantando Festival.

Tickets are $10 and seats may be reserved at theatre.brentwood.bc.ca. All proceeds for this concert go to the music programmes for disadvantaged youth in the Cowichan Valley.

Curtain is at 7:30pm. From Bach to Rock- a great evening of music.
