Art Foundation workshop

The Art Foundation class recently hosted a workshop given by the internationally acclaimed artist Robert Cerins on the subject of painting from still life. Robert asked the students to combine aspects of observational studies with the addition of imaginative interpretations. He wanted the students to notice the difference between painting something from the physical world while making a painting from the imagination. An accomplished painter, Robert Cerins' enthusiasm for life is evident in everything he creates and his art is inspired by the events and emotions that occur in his life. Robert’s intention is for his paintings to evoke pleasure in the observer.
