Each autumn, the CIBC Run for the Cure is held in Victoria; the event is held in order to bring awareness to and help raise money for breast cancer research, and this year, Brentwood College School was, once again, announced as the winners of the School Team Challenge after raising $7,520. Early on Sunday morning, sixty-five Brentwood students took a bus down to Victoria in order to participate in the run, and the energy was higher than ever. After taking part in a riveting warm up with ladies from “Jazz-ercise”, participants were given the option to take on a one or a five kilometer course, and noticeable finishes from Brentwood students included Bruno C & Jamal H, both Whittall ’18, who tied for second place on the 5km course. Running or walking, the students showed that it really does take very little to create such a great impact. The event raised $251,524 towards breast cancer research with over two-thousand participants running or walking for an amazing cause. The event was not only successful, but it was heart warming to see so many individuals fighting together from the same cause.  Glory C, Mackenzie ‘17
