And the Oscar Goes to…

Lauren Selman, Gwyneth ’03 is currently working as the Publicity Logistics Manager for The Oscars with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. During awards season, Lauren helps manage the Nominations Announcement, Nominee Luncheon, Sci Tech Awards and the infamous red carpet and press rooms at The Oscars. This year, one of the projects Lauren is working on is the Team Oscar contest. According to a press release “Winners of this contest will have the chance to be the Oscar Trophy Presenters. To enter, students submit a creative short video explaining how they will contribute to the future of movies and answer a brief essay question on a similar topic.” The winning 6 students get to appear on the telecast, meet some of their favorite filmmakers, and have an experience of a lifetime. They will also get to hang out with Lauren for a week in Hollywood! Lights, camera, action!
