An Evening With Royalty

23 January 2016

On Saturday January 16th, a group of students piled into a bus to attend a Victoria Royals hockey game in Victoria. The WHL team from Victoria was playing the Kelowna Rockets, a tough competitor of theirs, making the game an intense one.  In the first period the Royals took the lead when they scored the first goal of the game. The Rockets came back and scored later on in the second period, making it a tie. With nobody able to score in the third period, the game went into overtime and ended when the Rockets scored with a minute left before shootouts.  The game was a fun opportunity to leave campus and to do something different. Everyone who went had a great time and really enjoyed the game, the food, and the break.A special thanks to Ms. Suderman and Mrs. Martin for giving up their Saturday night to supervise the outing, and for the idea!
