Ambition For a Good Body

Cross Training is a sports option at Brentwood that can be taken throughout the year. The aim of this program is to help the students to build up the basic muscles of their body, and also to improve their endurance. It is a very challenging program, and worthwhile.

“I really like Cross Training very much. It helps me to become even more fit and to improve my endurance. There is also always a very good atmosphere during the training sessions, which makes the hard training much easier’’ said Joe R, Privett, ‘20.

Once a week, usually on Saturdays, different athletic activities outside of the normal sessions are carried out. These activities include hikes, yoga, Pilates, ice skating or similar things.

In December, the group, along with many other sports teams from the school, took part in the Food Drive, where they walked around the houses near the school and asked for donations of food, which was then given to the Food Bank.

“I am very happy to take this course because I notice how much good it does for my muscle building and endurance. I also think it is great that we do something different once a week. This makes it possible to do a varied program’’ Ben Z, Privett, ‘21 reflected on his cross-training experience so far.

As a student who also attends this program, I have to say a big thank you, in the name of the whole group, to the organizers Mr Langer, Ms Hall, and Mrs Stevens.
