A Winter Concert is Coming

9 December 2021

The Concert for a Winter's Eve is just around the corner - today and tomorrow, in fact. Rehearsals are in full swing as performers prepare for the upcoming shows. The annual event not only offers an opportunity for all our talented students to showcase their hard work, but also provides us the chance of giving back to the community through a fundraiser for the local food bank.

The performances will highlight various art programs offered at Brentwood, from the Jazz Ensemble to the Dance program. “Performers have been working diligently for the past four months and can’t wait to showcase this at the upcoming concert” observed Mark L, Privett ‘22 of the Advanced Rock Band. Assistant Head Prefect for Arts Robin C, Alexandra ‘22 is “excited to be performing once again in front of a live audience” with the last live performance for the school coming before the pandemic.

The doors open at 7:00 PM both nights (Friday is open to the public) and the show kicks off at 7:30 PM. To book tickets visit https://brentwood.simpletix.ca/.

The opening act is the wind and string ensemble playing Brazilian Sleigh Bells and Rhythm of the Winds. Solo acts will also be showcased including Gillian D, Hope ‘24 with White Christmas, Eamon R, Privett ‘22 with It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Chritsmas and Robin singing This Christmas. The Advanced Dance program will be performing their number to House of the Rising Sun. To close off the evenings, the Vocal Ensembles and String Ensembles will be performing The Prayer.

A big thank you to Ms Widenmaier, Ms Plough, Mr Newns, the performers and everyone who has helped to put this show on. We hope to see you all there with cash and non-perishable food donations which will be accepted at the front doors. If you can’t attend, we hope that you can tune in at https://www.brentwood.ca/live
