A Trio of All Stars

Three of Brentwood’s most accomplished Grade 12 basketball players competed in the Island All Star Games on Saturday night. Provincial Champions Aaron S, Rogers ‘17 (Basketball Captain) & Cole H, Whittall ‘17 as well as Girls’ Captain Chidinma A, Alex ‘17 all enjoyed the honour. In the girls’ game, Chidinma’s North team defeated the South squad 89-88 and Chidinma, with 22 points, was named the MVP! Perhaps even more impressive is that Chidinma managed this after playing four ISA soccer games in the previous 24hrs, including two that morning!  In the 2nd Team boys’ game Cole’s double double helped the North team to a comfortable win while Aaron represented well in the 1st Team boys’ game scoring 20 points in his team’s loss to the South. Congrats to all three hoopsters! Though the competitive basketball season is over for 2016-2017, more than 30 athletes continue to hone their skills this term in our development and recreational programs. Jim Ganley
