A Taste of Mexico

25 September 2013
Brynn A
On Friday the 20th of September, the students of Brentwood had the luxury of savoring the delectable flavors of Mexico. Ten Mexican students helped to decorate the dining hall and serve the rest of the Brentwood community dinner.  Delicious dishes such as enchiladas, beef fajitas, popcorn shrimp, beans, nachos, and more were gobbled up by the staff and students. Receiving nothing but amazing reviews, this third annual meal is a beloved one. Not only was the food impeccable, but Crooks Hall was transformed into a true fiesta including piñatas and other traditional Mexican decor including red, white, and green balloons to broadcast Mexico’s national colors. Music filled the hall as students filled their stomachs with such delightful cuisine. Special thanks goes out to Santiago G, Ellis ‘15 for leading the organization of Brentwood's Mexican Independence Day Dinner this year! Viva Mexico! Brynn A, Hope '15
