A Score of Brentonians at HOC

There were twenty Brentonians represented at the 54th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta. Five current students and fifteen alum. The following is the list of grads, the year they graduated from Brentwood and the year graduated or graduating from their university.  Greg Hughes - 1992 - Princeton University 1996. Greg is the Head Coach of the Princeton University Men’s Heavyweight programme.  Peter Stroble - 1992 - Yale University 1996 - 92 World Champs Crew - placed 4th in the 40+ Masters 8+ event. Peter and the USA U19 Men’s 8+ won the gold medal at the World Rowing 1992 Junior World Championships. Peter is Chief Financial Officer and Director at Alta Forest Products LLC. Terran Senftleben - 1992 - Harvard University - 92 World Champs Crew - placed 4th in the 40+ Masters 8+ event. Terran and the USA U19 Men’s 8+ won the gold medal at the World Rowing 1992 Junior World Championships. Terran is the Financial Systems Consultant at D+H in Seattle, Washington. Morgan Crooks - 1994 - Princeton University 1998 - Oxford 1999 - Fat Cat Rowing Club 22nd in the 50+ Senior Masters 8+. Morgan rowed in Canada’s Men’s 8+ at the 2000 Olympic Games where they placed 7th. He is currently Director at RBC Capital Markets in New York City.  Scott Frandsen - 1998 - University of California Berkeley 2002 - Oxford University 2003 Head Coach of the University of California Berkeley Men’s Heavyweight programme.  Scott rowed in three Olympic Games - 2004 (Canada’s Men’s 8+) 2008 ( Canada’s Men’s pair - Silver medal) and 2012 (Canada’s Men’s pair). Malcolm Howard - 2001 - Harvard 2005 - Oxford University 2014 - Shannon Rowing Club - 2nd 40+. Malcolm won gold in 2008 and silver in 2012 with Canada’s Men’s 8+ at the Beijing and London Olympic Games. Malcolm is currently in London, Ontario in residency at the University of Western Ontario Medical School. Noah McColl - 2006 - Yale 2010 - Blue Cheese Rowing Club - 21st in the Alumni 8+ Presently working in New York for Charity Water. Jack Kornfeld - 2011 - University of California Berkeley 2015 - 25th in the Alumni 8+ Presently in 3rd year of Med School at Dartmouth University. Rielly Milne - 2014 - University of Washington 2018 - USA Men’s 4+ in the Championship 8+. Finished 2nd. After graduating from UW in June, Rielly was the coxswain for USA’s World record setting U23 Men’s 8+ that won gold at the World Rowing U23 Championships (5:22:37). Rielly is currently training at the US Training Centre in Berkeley, California.  Elliot Rogers - 2015 - University of California Berkeley 2019 - Racing in the Men’s Championship 8+ Finished 8th overall and 4th in the Collegiate category. This past summer Elliot rowed in seven seat of Canada’s Under 23 Men’s 8+ that placed 5th at the World Rowing U23 Championships.  Sydney Payne - 2015 - University of California Berkeley 2019 - Racing in the Women’s Championship 8+ for Cal finished 4th overall and 2nd in the Collegiate category. This past summer Sydney won the gold medal at the World Rowing U23 World Rowing Championships as the stroke of Canada’s U23 8+ and then silver with the Senior Women’s 8+ later in the summer.  Kate Laumann Wallace - 2017 - Harvard 2021 - Racing in the Championship Women’s 4+ Kate is in her second year at Harvard. Finished 11th. Justin Meeker - 2017 - University of Pennsylvania 2021 - Racing in the Championship Lightweight Men’s 4+  Justin is presently in his second year at Penn. Finished 3rd. Katherine Buckley - 2017 - Hamilton College 2021 - Racing in the Collegiate Women’s 8+  Katherine is in her second year at Hamilton. Finished 13th  Riley Toporowski - 2018 - George Washington University 2022 - Racing in the Men’s Championship 4+. Riley is in his first year at GW. 9th overall and 6th in the Collegiate category. Erika C - 2019 - Coxswain - Youth Men’s quad - Finished 11th Axel E - 2019 - Two seat - Youth Men’s quad - Finished 11th Yannick H - 2019 - Bow seat - Youth Men’s quad - Finished 11th Ethan S - 2020 - Stroke seat - Youth Men’s quad - Finished 11th Karl D - 2021 - Three seat - Youth Men’s quad - Finished 11th Brian Carr - 1980 - University of Victoria 1987, Coach - Brentwood’s Youth Men’s quad.
