A Sage Umpire

2 November 2010
Brentwood’s Mrs. Debbie Sage successfully completed her FISA (Fédération Internationale des Sociétés d'Aviron) umpire’s license this summer. This will allow her to officiate at all important international regattas, including the World Championships and the Olympics. It is the highest qualification for an umpire; only eighteen Canadians (including four women) currently hold this standard.

Mrs. Sage is not only an accomplished rowing umpire, she is also the president of Rowing BC, the Regatta Coordinator of the Brentwood Regatta, and a coach in our girls rowing program. She also coordinates the Fine Arts enrolment and the Parent-Teacher Interview schedule. Mrs. Sage hopes to go to Germany this summer to umpire at the World Cup regatta that will be held either in Munich or Hamburg.

Congratulations Mrs. Sage!
