At the beginning of the year and progressing through the terms, it seemed that Rogers and Allard Houses were stagnant in Interhouse points and significantly behind the other houses in the overall standing. However, in recent competitions and efforts made by participants from both houses, we were able to go 3 for 3 in the most recent interhouse challenges. Rogers Interhouse Prefect Kenton L, Rogers ‘20 stated, “We’re climbing back to the top” eager for the next interhouse competition to commence.

It all began with our recent success in the Interhouse Improv Challenge where participants from both houses battled in one of the most close and intense interhouse competitions of the year. The battle was long and challenging, but did not wear out the finalists from Rogers and Allard. The next competition was the Interhouse Jenga which took place during Spirit Week. This competition required a whole week and after more than one hundred participants, Nick P,  Rogers ‘21 was the final man standing. He stated, “It was fun and exciting to win it for the house.”

The final event was the Interhouse Acapella Challenge where seniors and juniors from all houses would sing without instruments. After many riveting and creative entries, Rogers and Allard were the victors.

The interhouse challenges at Brentwood bring out competition, creativity, fun, and teamwork that engenders bonding between houses.

The winning houses will be announced at the end of the year at the Closing Day Ceremony. Stay tuned for the Allard-Rogers renaissance!
