A Dream in White

This past midterm break, 32 international Brentwood students went on a skiing trip to a winter paradise with two meters of snow. This adventure, organised by the school for students who couldn’t get home for such a short break, was the Silver Star sensation.
Silver Star was a wonderful time: six days of skiing, a great hotel, and the best snow in all of Canada. “It was a terrific time with skilled instructors and great snow conditions. It was very easy for me to start snowboarding” exclaimed Roberto C of Mexico City. Skiing and snowboarding classes were given free of charge by extraordinary instructors “with about 50 years of experience” Mr. Allpress told us.
We were able to do a lot of exciting and relaxing activities: snowboarding, skiing, tubing and skating. “It was a lot of fun” said Shawn H from Japan. At the end of each day many students finished with a warm and relaxing visit to the hot tub.
We lived in a hotel 1600 meters above sea level in the mountains around Kelowna: the slopes started right outside our doors. We’re sure that we speak for all of the students on the trip when we say that after the 5th day on the mountain we were sad to see the trip coming to an end.
We would like to thank Mr. Allpress, Mr. Warner and Mrs. McCullough for their care and support. It was terrific!
